Many of us experience parapsychological phenomena during our lives.
Some of these experiences are of great import, others are
insignificant. Some we know we must act on; others are ripples upon the
sea, forgotten. Here, Conviction as a great spiritual virtue will be
examined within the context of parapsychology.
Parapsychology’s branches—telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition,
psychokinesis and survival—elucidate by way of example and
exercise what produces conviction within us, and why and when we act
upon our ESP.
Dream research, healing, and the aftereffects of near-death
experiences assist in underscoring the relationship of ethics, love,
and intention to conviction, and will also be discussed.
The characteristic signature of ESP—achieving its goal, regardless of
the number of, or lack of steps, required, and need, goal-oriented and
healing models will be discussed, both from a psychokinetic view and
from a telepathic stance, as well as the inherent role of conviction
within this framework.
The impact of conviction in the lives of Jesus Christ and St. Joan of
Arc, and others both prominent and ordinary, highlights the significant
and spiritual role conviction plays upon our world stage. Conviction as
a great spiritual value will be examined; spiritual qualities inherent
in ESP will be addressed, and ethical and educational considerations
will be pondered.

Donna Signorelli -
Donna’s appreciation for parapsychology is woven within literature,
science fiction, spirituality, religion, reading, and science. She
received the Tibetan Buddhist teachings offered to Westerners by Lama
Zopa Rimpoche and Lama Yeshe at Gopan Monastery, near Kathmandu, Nepal,
during the Spring of 1973. Attending Santa Fe Community College
(Gainesville, FL), she enrolled in several parapsychologically oriented
classes. Her parapsychological and medical interests continued while
earning her Bachelor’s from New College (Sarasota, FL). Donna applied
and was invited to attend the Summer Study Program at J.B. Rhine’s
Parapsychology Laboratory (Foundation for Research on the Nature of Man)
in Durham, NC, running for two months during the summer of 1982.
Donna was awarded her Master of Science Degree in Parapsychology in 1990
from John F. Kennedy University (California), subsequent to long
standing interest in the field. Her series of experiments on love,
intention, and healing were significant and composed part of her thesis
requirements for her master’s degree. In 1994, Donna founded The
Custody Project, a 501 (c) (3) charitable, nonprofit, which assists
mothers with care, custody, and visitation issues. She has also
assisted the Parapsychology Foundation with journal article indexing,
and during the Fall of 2007, Donna taught a six-week course on
Parapsychology at the Okaloosa-Walton College, Prime Time. |
