ABOUT AMY
Amy Likins MS, CNC, Holistic Nutrition Counselor and Chef, Registered Certified Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, owner and director of All One Yoga LLC and Café Organic. In 1998 Amy acquired a B.S. in Geological Sciences from Southern Illinois University and worked in the field as a geologist in Montana, Mexico, New Mexico, Arizona and Illinois. Next Amy worked as a government contractor from 1999-2002 as an Archeologist, continuing to spend much time in the beauty of the world we live in. Amy began practicing yoga in 1993 while still in college and then deepened her studies while working on the road as an archeologist. In 2001, she helped to establish the first yoga studio in Destin Florida, and a year later helped to open a second location in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. While working at Dragonfly Yoga Amy began to take on private clients for instruction of yoga and this lead to teaching about other areas of wellness such as healthy eating, healthy living and regular cleansing and detoxing for our bodies. Ever since, she has dedicated her life to fostering the growth of the ever expanding holistic health community on the Emerald Coast. In 2004, Amy experienced a major life change and was injured severely in a car accident, which left her with multiple physical limitations. She learned to use yoga therapy and healthy nutrition as a way to heal body her body and mind. Her own yoga practice became gentler and thus began to attract students who needed a gentler and more compassionate approach to yoga, and became the local expert in therapeutic yoga. A few years later Amy went back to school to obtain a Masters Degree in Holistic Nutrition, and began to teach seminars and cooking classes to help others learn more about using healthy whole foods to prevent disease and to help manage and reverse health issues that may already be in place. In 2008, Amy was approached by a group of local doctors, including Chiropractors, who wanted help in opening an Organic Café and establishing a local Organic Food Co-Op. Amy teaches group wellness seminars and conducts individual Nutrition Consults that focus on a client centered approach that establish individual needs based on current health, lifestyle, life stage and environmental factors.
